Google has now rolled out Wireless Controller Support on Mobile
The Google Stadia controller works by connecting via WiFi to the Stadia server. Now before this update, if you wanted to play Stadia on mobile with the Stadia controller, you would need to use a USB-C cable to connect the phone to the controller.
Well, now Google has rolled out an update that will allow you to connect the Stadia controller via WiFi to your android device. Making playing Stadia on mobile even easier, especially if you are using the Claw attachment, which mounts your phone to the Stadia controller.
This update is a rollout server-side over a day, so if you don’t have the option to enable the controller via WiFi, then just wait as the update will eventually come to you. Google has also stated that you will need to be on the latest version of the Stadia App, so double-check the PlayStore to make sure your Stadia app is up to date.
This was a much-needed change. Do you use the Stadia controller and Claw mount when playing on mobile? Let us know in the comments below. If you enjoyed this article, why not share it on social media.
