Wireless Stadia Controller support is something the Stadia community has been asking the Google stadia team for. As currently the only way to use the Stadia controller while playing on a Laptop or Desktop, is by connecting it via a USB cable.
So the Stadia community has been asking the Google Stadia team to allow wireless support when using the Stadia controller, as if they don’t want to use a cable then they are having to use a PS4 or Xbox controller, as using these controllers doesn’t require a USB cable.
Well, it seems the Stadia controller now has wireless support when using it on Desktop or Laptop as Google announced today that they have released an update to allow Wireless Stadia Controller support.
Starting this week, you can now use the Stadia Controller to play wirelessly on your laptop and desktop. You no longer need to connect your Stadia Controller physically to your computer to play your favorite games. You’ll be able to link your Stadia Controller and Stadia.com through your Wi-Fi network and play without a USB-C cable connection.
