Google has made more Android devices compatible

For the past 2 weeks, we have had no updates from Google has to what is happening with Google Stadia and many were hoping to see some announcements from IGN’s Summer Of Gaming event. Now while we didn’t see any announcements for day one of IGN’s Summer Of Gaming event, it seems that Google has been working hard behind the scenes for the past 2 weeks, as we got a lot of news today.

With the first being that more OnePlus phones are compatible, which is great news as i own a OnePlus 7 Pro phone, so to be able to play Stadia on my phone is amazing, you can see the full list of compatible OnePlus phones below:

  • OnePlus 5 and 5T
  • OnePlus 6 and 6T
  • OnePlus 7, 7 Pro, 7 Pro 5G, 7T, 7T Pro, 7T Pro 5G

Now, this wasn’t the only news we got about mobile devices as it seems Google is testing something which will make no compatible Android phones work with the Stadia app, now this is just an experiment, so do expect to run into issues if your Android phone is now fully compatible.

If you’d like to be part of this Experiment, visit the Stadia app, navigate to the Experiments tab in your Settings menu, and choose “Play on this device.” Experiments are our way of testing out new features so we can get your feedback.

Are you excited to finally play Stadia on your phone? Let us know in the comments below. If you enjoyed this article, why not share it on social media.
