Kate Bishop coming to Marvel’s Avengers December 8th
Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics hosted a War Table event today to show off Kate Bishop the first playable character to come to Marvel’s Avengers, now although she was delayed in October, while Crystal Dynamics worked on fixing all the bugs in the game. We finally have a release date for Kate Bishop, who will be joining the Marvel’s Avengers line up December 8.
Along with the Kate Bishop release date, Crystal Dynamics also revealed when Clint Barton would be coming to the game, with an initial release sometime in early 2021. Next-gen versions of the game will arrive in early 2021 as well.
Kate Bishop will bring to the game a brand new storyline called Operation Taking A.I.M. With all of the new content added for free. “Kate is searching for her former mentor, Hawkeye, but along the way, she discovers a conspiracy involving Nick Fury, time travel, and a frightening new enemy.”
As you would expect with a Hawkeye, Kate will have multiple arrow types – Razor, Scatter, Explosive, and Smokescreen. Not only that but Kate will have both ranged bow attacks and a sword. Her traversal will allow her to teleport short distance using Quantum tech stolen from A.I.M.
In the Deep Dive of Kate Bishop, we also get our first look at a Super Adaptoid boss, that will combine all the Avengers powers, Using Thor’s hammer, Captain America’s Shield.
Taking A.I.M is the first new chapter of Season 1 of the Avengers Initiative campaign and will arrive December 8th.
