A games developer from Necrosoft Games took to Reddit to give more information about Gunsport, going over how the game had been in development since 2014 but due to budget issues is only seeing the light of day now. Which will be exclusive to Google Stadia for some time, and then will release on other consoles.
Now what’s interesting is when asked by Reddit user Aaronite if developing for Stadia was any different from other platforms, the developer responded by saying:
Hmm, it’s different in that it’s a very new platform, so things are changing/improving all the time, from the way it interacts with engines like Unity (which we use) to certification issues. But I wouldn’t say it’s that different from working on any other new platform – every time you go to a brand new platform you get these kinds of challenges, which can be fun and frustrating all at once! In general, I would say they’re really trying to make it as smooth as they can for devs, and are working out the kinks as they go. And I have no idea about player base, that’s secret Google info I don’t get to see unfortunately.
Knowing this we can see that Google is trying to make it as easy as possible for developers to publisher there game on Google Stadia. You can check out the full Reddit post here.
